Default went canuk hunting saturday

well i went goose hunting with a couple buddies in the topeka area saturday.
had a great day. we were 2 short of a 4 man limit. my dog worked her but off too!!!!

here is my golden fiesta lookin proud of her hard work.

Cool, thanks for the pictures.

Your dog really put the size of those birds in prospective. We've got a ton of Canadian Geese up at my in law's ranch but I've never shot one. So I really had no idea of their size until now. And those dudes are huge! Hell, I'm getting hungry now

canadians are huge birds!!! pretty hard to knock down too!
the 4th from the left was the biggest and he weighed 14.3 lbs!!!!!

they are great if you put some asperagus on top of the breast then wrap it all in bacon the smoke'm with hickory for about 4-5 hours

So how long will those birds last being frozen?

they will generaly keep about a year in the freezer but they wont last that long here!!!

i got lucky my wife and 3 girls like any wild game i have killed so far!!!!

It's just me the wife and our son. So those birds would last us a while.

Good memories. My dad used to take me goose hunting when I was young. Good eating, too.
